Remote Learning
How to access Teams without a PC or Laptop
Update: In addition to the Remote Learning set up by our own teaching staff, pupils can also access the free lessons provided by BBC Bitesize and The Oak National Academy. Both links are shown below.
Need to get away from the computer for a while?
Click here to find some garden and wildlife activities.
We just wanted to let you know that we are using Microsoft Teams to deliver remote learning. A timetable of lessons has been created to allow pupils to access a range of subjects at specific times during the week.
Students have a chance to access this work from anywhere – using their phone/laptop/PCs and they will need their school username and password.
What is my child's username and password?
Their username is the first letter of their first name followed by surname and ending with @sabden.org.uk, e.g. PPribylova@sabden.org.uk
The password is the one they usually use to log on to our PCs at school.
Please contact our ICT technicians if they need their password reset as our ICT Team doesn’t hold student’s passwords (part of General Data Protection Regulation). Please be aware that password resets can take up to 30 minutes to reflect in Microsoft Teams.
Government laptops and Office software
Students who were eligible or in need of a Department for Education laptop should have received one by now. A number of students have identified the issue of a lack of Microsoft Office software on the laptops.
Don't worry! There is an easy work around. You will be able to use web based version of the software via Teams. Simply click Files - New then select the software you would like to use. See the picture below for further clarification.
