My name is Jim Cameron and, as Principal of Cuckmere House School, I welcome you to our website. We have designed it to keep you up to date with all of the latest news and information you might need and to give you a flavour of what goes on in and around our amazing school.
Cuckmere House School is an outstanding special school that makes provision for children and young people with social, emotional & mental health needs (SEMH) from Key Stage 1 to 4. Cuckmere House School is a unique school to be part of; we are committed to ensuring that each child can access the highest possible standard of education and be supported to better manage their behaviour, emotional and mental health needs.
Our vision is to create a warm, caring, stable supportive environment in which all pupils and staff feel safe. By creating an engaging and challenging learning environment, we aim to develop the multitude of skills and talents that our young people have to enable them to become independent, resilient and self-motivated, taking pride in their achievements and their educational journey.
At the centre of this is our curriculum where all are encouraged and enable to develop their academic knowledge, their practical skills and their social, emotional and mental wellbeing; their Heads, their Hands and their Hearts.
|Academic Knowledge||Practical Skills||Wellbeing|
As the Principal, I am always keen to build excellent relationships with students, parents/carers and the local community. These relationships are the bedrock upon which a successful school is built as we all work together to support our young people to maximise their potential and become active and positive members of their communities.
