Sheppy SEND

The school will recruit a SENDO who will lead effective interventions and undertake regular reviews for all pupils (including annual reviews). 

A multi-disciplinary Speech, Language and Occupational Therapy practitioner will get to know all pupils and will be a familiar and consistent face around the school and this will enable meaningful interventions. They will create sensory profile for pupils on the ASD using a sensory checklist and will support Teachers to make reasonable adjustments within school and classrooms to reduce and support sensory issues.

Additional therapeutic interventions from external agencies and professionals will take place from 14:35 (where possible) allowing pupils to focus on their daily routine without deviation.
