Analysis of KS2 Attainment in Relation to Starting Point

  • 40% of pupils have made 2 points progress or more across Reading, Writing and Maths between September and March.
  • 60% of pupils have made 2 points progress or more in Maths between September and March.
  • The key objective percentages are good and demonstrate a closing of the skills and knowledge gap.
  • Value added calculation now includes Tower House pupils
  • Value added is significantly lower than in previous years
  • The small number of pupils means that any absent data has a significant impact on the value added score.
  • Value added in Reading is -11
  • Value added in Writing is -14.4
  • Value added in Maths is -13.7
  • Cohort consisted of a large group of summer born (August) pupils – 8/14, with another 4 being born in spring term and only 2 in the autumn term.

 

GCSE Results Summary

The cancellation of the GSCEs examinations led to teacher assessments determining the results awarded this year.  The internal process for this was rigorous and it was helpful to liaise with other Sabden schools in determining and moderating our approach to this. The results below are for the 9 pupils who attended Y11.

Three pupils achieved 10 GCSE grades with our most successful pupil achieving 7 grade 4/5 qualifications. The remaining pupils in the year group achieved between 2 and 9 passes, all with English and Maths GCSE passes. The average number of qualifications per pupil was slightly down when you compare the figures above to previous years and this reflects the diversity of the year group with some pupils sitting a lower number of qualifications due to their needs.
