Careers

Careers education, information advice and guidance is at the heart of our founding principles of rigour, partnerships, industry and enterprise. We are committed to fulfilling the GATSBY benchmarks, and to achieving an Investors in Careers quality mark for our work in this area in due course.

We work in partnership with the Youth Employability service (CXK) who deliver high quality, impartial careers guidance delivered by qualified careers professionals. The school has commissioned 20 days of support per year to ensure all pupils receive appropriate careers guidance and support. 

The careers programme at The Workplace is delivered through formal PSHEE lessons but is also threaded throughout the curriculum.

We measure the success of our careers programme by collecting and analysing data on the post 16 destinations of our students. As of September 2022 the current status of our year 11 summer 2022 leavers is as follows:

Of the pupils enrolled in Further Education, the majority are studying courses at Level 2. The overall breakdown is as follows:

The Youth Employability Service will continue to support students until they are least 18 years old. More information about their 16 + offer can be found on their website here.
