Monday to Friday - 30 hours per week as follows:
TA2 at 25 hours per week
PLUS
Midday Supervisor responsibilities at 5 hours per week
39 weeks worked and 46 (TA) & 44.65 (MSA) weeks paid per year
(FTE Grade 1/SSP2 £18,333 to Grade 3/SSP7 £18,887)

College Central, Eastbourne, is seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant 2 (with midday supervisor responsibilities) across Key 3 and 4 departments to support various programmes for anxious and vulnerable pupils. The main responsibility of the post will be to support teachers in the delivery of the curriculum, both by directly working with pupils and assisting in preparation of resources.  We are looking for applicants who are innovative, enthusiastic and flexible, as well has having a keen interest and knowledge of child development and an understanding of child protection procedures.  Applicants should be able to demonstrate a sensitive and empathic approach to working with young pupils.

The successful candidate will be joining a Trust and school that continues to be ambitious in its drive to improve outcomes for our pupils. The working pattern is five days per week, Monday – Thursday, from 8.45am –3.00pm and Friday 8.45am - 2.00pm. The working pattern to be discussed at interview and confirmed on successful appointment.  We are a friendly and supportive team, with additional benefits, such as free daily lunch when eaten with pupils in our canteen.
